Who I am

I am an established designer, educator and author with a career has been in graphic design and digital production, predominantly in publishing. I have been employed as a designer and production editor and I have taught the main industry standard publishing programs, including InDesign, PhotoShop and Illustrator. I also have experience of QuarkXpress, Word, Excel and other associated programs.

For many years, I worked in conjunction with a small design group specialising in publishing, and I also have experience of other areas of design and production, such as food packaging. At present, I am working as a freelance designer from home but am also available to work in-house.

I am a part time tutor for Birkbeck College, University of London, and have taught at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts, London and University of West London.

Together with a co-author, I have written a book called Design for Media, published by Pearson Education in 2012, which is targeted at students and professionals who want to improve their design and production skills.
